crucial element in this transformation is the planning, development and management of "Sustainable Industrial Areas (SIAs)" that can attract and support manufacturers in adopting environmentally and socially sustainable practices. Currently, there is a need to strengthen the capacity of both public and private sector actors involved in the planning, development, and management of industrial areas to align with international best practices in sustainability. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) commissioned the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to implement the "Private Sector Innovation II" (PSI II).
