rengthen Sierra Leone"s podiatric referral care for communicable diseases by replacing an obsolete Ebola era temporary isolation structure at Ola During Children"s Hospital (ODCH) with a purpose built Paediatric Infectious Diseases/Isolation Unit (IDU). Embedded in BMZ/GIZ"s "Health System Strengthening and Epidemic Prevention - Phase II" and implemented with the Ministry of Health, the facility will expand and modernize inpatient capacity, enhance infection prevention and control (IPC), reduce nosocomial transmission, improve staff safety, and contribute to better clinical outcomes for children.
