Out-dated customer data bases and land registers undermine the basis for levying rates and taxes. The "Good Governance in Local Authorities" project aims at enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and inclusivity of its partner local authorities in the provision of services. The project focusses on four main areas of support - (1) service delivery, (2) public financial management (3) support to councillors, (4) gender equality and inclusion. Furthermore transparency, accountability, enhanced citizen participation and digitalization will be mainstreamed across the four outputs.
