carry out monitoring and drive- testing which at present requires IÉ Telecoms personnel to perform this task. The task requires staff to travel onboard IÉ Trainsets with monitoring equipment, which can be both onerous and time consuming. IÉ require the provision of an automated drive-testing and RF monitoring solution that will negate the requirement for staff to travel. To achieve this requirement, it is therefore required to provide a GSM-R Modem and hardware (option)/software/firmware capable of interfacing with the modem and providing the end-user (IE) with a HTTP REST API. This can be integrated with the existing IÉ hosted servers which run a combination of NodeJS applications, InfluxDB and Grafana for recording and visualization of the obtained data or hosted on a supplier provided cloud-based solution that is accessible by IÉ.
