In addition to providing a wide range of national and regional services, Beaumont Hospital delivers acute care to a population of over 500,000 people within its local catchment area and is host to Centres of Excellence in Neuroscience, Cancer and Renal Transplantation. The Board of Beaumont Hospital proposes to undertake a programme of works to provide additional Intensive Care Unit (ICU) bed capacity. The project will deliver six additional ICU bed spaces, together with the required ancillary accommodation, through the reconfiguration and refurbishment of existing hospital space. Collectively, these works will strengthen critical care resilience, enhance operational flexibility, and support the safe and sustainable delivery of acute services at Beaumont Hospital.
