The development also consists of the refurbishment of the existing Main Entrance and Medical Emergency Unit (area circa. 263m2). The development will provide for the refurbishment of the main hospital reception, the expansion and refurbishment of the existing Maternity Emergency Unit, a new extension providing a diagnostic scanning suite, a 3 bed assessment unit on the ground floor, a 4 bed labour induction unit, a 2 room Intensive Care suite and a Procedure room on the first floor along with general support and staff facilities.
