ty is for washing laboratory glassware and for sterilising materials (both infectious and non-infectious), instruments and wastes for the entire building. The facility was opened in 2003, and the equipment (operational in the same year) is now nearing the end of its life. It is the intention to replace the current set-up (5 Autoclaves and 6 Glass washers) with their modern equivalent.
