This creates emissions, noise etc. As part of Trondheim municipality's climate and environment plan, city operations wants to replace its entire fossil-driven machinery with fossil-free systems. Financing has thus been granted for a three-axled sweeping machine with biogas operation as a replacement for a diesel driven sweeping machine. The sweeping vehicle shall be used for cleaning and sweeping of the municipal road network. This includes main roads, public transport lanes, residential streets and collector's roads, in addition to some use in public areas such as car parks, school places etc. Use and capacity The vehicle will mainly be used throughout the entire summer. Periodically throughout the summer, 2 shifts are used on both weekdays and at weekends. There is no delay between the replacements. The current sweeping machine has a technical payload
