Since the power cable was damaged in a storm in 1982, the fishing village has relied on electricity from the generator, which has only been in operation in the summer season. The current aggregates, with a capacity of 48 kW and 64 kW and co-driving, have normally been driven between 07.30 and 23.00, April to September. Beyond normal driving, they have been in operation for a few hours every Day February to April. Electricity demand at Sør-Gjæslingan varies throughout the season from 0-10kW in the winter months to 15-25kW in the summer with peaks up to 65kW at major events. Now we want a new system wi
