The ultimate goal is to consistently develop the capabilities of the European Border and Coast Guard in line with the Capabilities Development Plan (CDP), which includes those of the Member States and of the Agency itself. In addition to Research and Innovation, Engineering expertise plays a crucial role in providing technical management of the Agency's equipment and services throughout their lifecycle. This includes design, consultation, testing, verification, and validation, as well as troubleshooting, knowledge management, and advising on future acquisition and use.
