It is a cross-cutting skills development and employment promotion project that contributes to all three priority areas of Indonesian-German Development Cooperation: (a) Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, (b) Forest Conservation, and (c) Circular Economy. The project consists of four intervention areas, namely (1) Strengthening the policy framework for promoting employment in green jobs on national level, (2) Introducing inclusive approaches for upskilling and reskilling for green jobs, (3) Initiating green jobs strategies and partnerships at the subnational level, and (4) Improving coordination and monitoring of green jobs promotion. The three pilot provinces for intervention area (3) are: East Java, East Kalimantan, and Riau Islands. The political counterpart is the Directorate for Employment of the Indonesian Ministry
