The system should be robust with as little downtime as possible and with as low solvent consumption as possible. It should also be as automated as possible with minimal need for manual work before and after the extraction process. The system must extract different matrixes with high variation in fat content: Marin biota (filét and bodies, e.g. livers), fish feed, raw materials for fish food, and marine/vegetable oils.
