The materials to be examined can contain both very much and very little of the infectious agents. The best way to detect these is through a real-time PCR analysis. Good sensitivity and user friendliness are therefore required. At times the customer is very dependent on carrying out these analyses, not least in a stand-by situation, so the instruments must be robust and handle both small and large sample volumes. The contracting authority has an option for the procurement of a further 1-2 instruments with the same specifications and on the same terms.
